I've done the StrengthsFinder a couple of times now - once about ten years ago, again five years ago, and again last month. I've always found it to be an interesting and enlightening experience. One longitudinal (26 years!) research study done be Dr. Clifton found that people who know what they're good at - especially when they're young - earn more later in life, express higher levels of satisfaction with their lives, and also have better health outcomes. Open Space Technology is meeting or conference format, and is an incredible tool for drawing knowledge from groups of people, developing action plans, and creating space for the conversations that need to occur. Its flexibility means it can be used for small groups or large conferences. Based on the principle of self-organizing systems, the facilitator helps the group develop and organize the session topics, and individuals who suggest topics agree to host the conversations.
